Protecting Crypto Accounts

Practical account-security habits for anyone holding or trading digital assets -- independent of any particular platform.

Chapter 1 of 3

The basics that matter most

The highest-impact security habits are also the simplest: use a unique, long password for every exchange account (a password manager makes this practical), enable two-factor authentication using an authenticator app rather than SMS where possible, and never enter account credentials on a page reached through an unsolicited link.

Most real-world account compromises exploit exactly these basics being skipped, not sophisticated technical attacks -- getting the fundamentals right removes the majority of realistic risk.
